Please don't let me be misunderstood!

Whoopie Goldberg will be appearing on Chris Mathews Hardball tonite, to discuss how Hollywood, and its values, have been misunderstood by red state americans! Oh this is gonna be GOOD! ROFLMAO.

Poor Hollywood...so misunderstood! Hmmm..lets see they celebrate the success and embrace Michael Moore's MOCKUMENTARY Farenlies 9/11 , supported Kerry, openly expressed vitriol towards Pres Bush and the conservative right, and have NO idea that the majority of women do NOT support abortion, or that Americans by in large are socially conservative moderate republicans!

What exactly is it that conservatives are "Misunderestanding"?

What have I misunderstood?

    Hollywood's values are not in touch with the cultural norm these days. However I will always support the creative voice of dissent ...within reason.

    Michael Moore is entitled to offer an opposing voice toward the policies of the Bush administration...but to purposefully lie in order to do usurp an election is shameful and NOT something I will support! Even if he feels the Bush administration lied..then why engage in the same behavior. What kind of credibility does that invoke? Not that I think he is capable of much better!

    There are many individuals in Hollywood that are good moral decent people, some Christian, some Jewish, some aethiest, some Muslim, who are honourable and try to do the right thing...there are Hollywood republicans, some Gay, some straight... Hard to imagine any Reps in Hollywood, but they are there!!. Some actors are informed, and thoughtful when voicing an opinion, and they are entitled to voice it, while others clearly have no business saying anything that isn't scripted!

    But for the most part, the Hollywood value system is not congruent with the cultural majority, and they like the Democratic party, needs to acknowledge that fact instead of denying it!. An opposing or different voice in art is something I both appreciate and value...but integrity is equally important!

    For Hollywood to be openly vitrolic to this war on terrorism and then to make money off it in films based on actual events in Iraq that cost the lives of those Marines involved, is feckless, disgusting, and shameful. What kind of "values' are represented in that kind of an act??!! Pure selfishness and a love for money! And Whoopie cries that Hollywood is being misunderstood??? Ha! I think any intelligent person recognizes the stench of hypocrisy when they smell it!
